In a little less than three weeks I'll be off to States to see my parents, my Grammy (shh, she doesn't know yet) and my friends. I can't believe two years has passed so quickly; I remember touching down in Melbourne in a state of panic -- I honestly thought I'd get deported for bringing Mentos (the fresh maker ;) ) from Singapore. Silly, I know.

Melbourne has a lot of ups, but the general price gauging and limited selection of makeup brands leaves me lusting for a lot. Upon my arrival to Vegas the plan is to first visit In & Out Burger; once I'm fat and happy, Sephora will be the next pit stop. I'm not picky P-Cakes: The Venetian, Town Square, Miracle Mile or The Forum Shops will do. I optimistically say this now, but jet-lag might win out. We shall see.

Here's a selection from my lust list:

Nails Inc. - I'm not after a specific colour, I just want to give this brand a go. Open to recommendations.
Urban Decay's Vice Palette - 20 shades have sent my tongue a-waggin'.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar - a little goes a long way on your pretty little smacker.
Hourglass - Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick and Powder Brush no. 1 won't know what hit them once I have these in my hot hands.
Tarte - again, anything and everything. Amazonian 12-Hour Clay Blush, LipSurgence Lip Tint or this ladylike palette. Who knows, I might just buy it all!

Hungry for a different kind of polish? Searching high and low for something sweeter? London-based nails inc . has got you covered with their Special Effects Sprinkles nail polish. I love shimmer and shine as much as the next girl, but sometimes sugar and spice makes everything, well, nice!

I have yet to try these for myself - believe me when I tell you I will be placing my order before this evening is through. This range is available in four shades - Sugar House Lane, Sweets Away, Pudding Lane & Topping Lane and retails for approximately $12 AUS.

After doing some hunting and clicking around on their site, I couldn't determine whether the myriad of formals are '3-free' (DBP, toulene and formaldehyde). I'll try to do a bit more research in the meantime.
